MaKyedie is a loyalty rewards app designed for Ghana. It lets you earn points every time you shop at participating local businesses — restaurants, salons, grocery shops, pharmacies, hotels, and more. Collect enough points and redeem them for real rewards like discounts and free items.
Simply scan the QR code provided by the business at checkout using your Ma Kyedie app. Points are calculated based on the amount you spend and your current loyalty tier, and are added to your account instantly.
There are three tiers: Basic (1× points), Silver (1.5× points), and Gold (2× points). The more you spend and engage, the higher your tier — and the faster you earn rewards.
Yes. Points earned at most businesses expire after 3 months of inactivity at that store. For Hotel/Hospitality businesses, the expiry period is 12 months. You'll receive a notification before your points are about to expire so you have time to use them.
Open the app, go to your rewards, and select an available reward from a business where you have enough points. A voucher QR code will be generated for you to show at the business for redemption.
Yes — MaKyedie is completely free to download and use for customers. There are no subscription fees or hidden charges. You simply earn and redeem rewards as you shop.
🏪 For Businesses
Businesses join by invitation. Contact us at support@makyedie.com to request an invite code. Once you receive your code, download the Ma Kyedie app, and use the code during registration to set up your business profile.
We currently support seven categories: Restaurant, Grocery, Beauty/Salon, Retail/Fashion, Fuel/Auto, Hotel/Hospitality, and Pharmacy. More categories are being added — reach out if yours isn't listed.
When your customers earn points by spending at your business, a small commission is charged on each transaction. Your commission rate is locked at the time your invite code is created, so it never changes unexpectedly. Commission is not charged on manual point awards.
Yes. Business admins can manually award points to customers for special occasions, service recoveries, or promotions. For transparency, manual awards of 200 points or more are flagged on the platform dashboard for review.
Customers present a voucher QR code in the app. Use the Ma Kyedie business app to scan the code and verify the redemption. The voucher is immediately marked as used to prevent duplicate redemptions.
⚙ Technical
MaKyedie supports iPhone (iOS 14 and above) and Android phones (Android 8.0 and above). A camera is required for QR code scanning. The app is not available on desktop browsers.
Yes. MaKyedie is built on Google Firebase, which provides enterprise-grade security, encrypted data storage, and secure authentication. We never sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link by email. If you don't see it, check your spam folder or contact us at support@makyedie.com.
